Available Sessions

In this 90-minute live workshop, I’m going to teach you how to set boundaries in Arab families without overexplaining, spiraling into guilt, or exploding after you’ve held it in for too long and I’m going to do it through a somatic, trauma informed lens so you’re not just learning what to say, you’re learning how to stay grounded enough to actually follow through.

If you freeze when your mom is disappointed, if your dad turns everything into a lecture, if you feel like you have to prove your choices to be respected, or if family pressure makes you abandon yourself, this session is for you.

We’ll break down what boundaries really are and why they feel so hard in Arab family systems, especially when guilt, loyalty, and fear of conflict are wired into the nervous system. You’ll learn how trauma responses like fawning, freezing, shutting down, or snapping show up in family interactions and what to do in your body in the moment so you can stay steady and clear.

You’ll also learn the different kinds of boundaries, so you stop trying to use one tool for everything:

  • Internal boundaries (what you let in, what you engage with, what you take personally)

  • Emotional boundaries (what you hold and what belongs to them)

  • Time and access boundaries (calls, visits, texting, availability)

  • Conversation boundaries (topics that are not open for debate)

  • Behavioral boundaries (what you will do if they cross the line)

You’ll leave with:

  • A simple step-by-step boundary framework you can use immediately

  • Clear scripts for real situations: intrusive questions, body comments, marriage pressure, career criticism, and controlling parents

  • What to say when they argue, interrupt, guilt trip, yell, shut down, or recruit other family members to pressure you

  • Nervous system tools to reduce the guilt and panic that come up when you hold your line

  • A follow-through plan so your boundary becomes real, not just something you say once

Camera optional. You can participate quietly and still get a lot out of it. We’ll end with live Q&A so you can bring your exact family scenario and I can help you workshop what to say and what to do next. Replay access included.
